Modern Warfare 3 could reportedly feature classic maps including Terminal and Scrapyard

The upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 entry that’s arriving in late 2023 could allegedly include a couple of classic maps in the form of Terminal and Scrapyard once it gets released. Since the next series installment was only initially supposed to be an expansion for Modern Warfare 2 (2022), this may have been Activision’s plan from the very beginning in order to convince more people to purchase their next creation.

Based on a report from well-known CoD news aggregator CharlieIntel, the sneak peeks for both of these remastered maps were apparently shared on Twitter by an account named CoD_Perseus. In their post, they included screenshots of both the aforementioned maps with a caption that said they got it “all from TIDL Discord,” a casual gaming server that mainly discusses industry news.

With rumors of Modern Warfare 3 introducing maps from MW2 2009 already circulating within the community, the inclusion of both Terminal and Scrapyard in the next game becomes even more believable for most players. It’s important to keep in mind, though, that there is currently no way to confirm the legitimacy of these screenshots at the time of writing so you’ll need to take these alleged leaks with a grain of salt.

Nevertheless, the thought of both Terminal and Scrapyard being included in Modern Warfare 3 has predictably excited fans of the FPS series as these are some of the most popular maps in CoD history. However, only time will tell if these locations do indeed make an appearance in the upcoming game so for now, we’ll just have to wait until it gets launched to find out.
