DPMs Tea Banh and Men Sam An elected as VPs of ruling party

Deputy Prime Ministers Tea Banh and Men Sam An, two senior members of the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) have been elected the party’s Vice Presidents.

The election happened this morning on the “January 7 Building”, the CPP’s new headquarters, in the course of the forty third Meeting of the CPP’s fifth mandate Central Committee.

The assembly was chaired by the Party President, Prime Minister Hun Sen, and Honorary President, Heng Samrin.

CPP has now 4 Vice Presidents. The different two are Senate President Say Chhum and Minister Sar Kheng.

According to a CPP’s Spokesperson, Sok Eysan, apart from the election, the half-day assembly will contact on the choice on Prime Minister candidacy, the preparation of work instructions for subsequent yr’s commune/Sangkat council election, and the suggestions of the party’s president,
