One of the best winter experiences is back. The garden igloos have returned to Nortons Brewing Company.
For patios in the winter, is there anything better than being inside an igloo surrounded by friends and family?
Nortons opened their reservations for the igloos last month, so if you need to click that link to reserve yours right now, I’d highly encourage you to do so before they are booked up. (Then come back and finish reading this blog).
And this year, igloos are literally bigger than ever. The base size garden igloo that used to seat 6 people is now 8 people. Then they’ve unveiled the Bigloo which is an igloo cabin that seats 10 people.
Each igloo has its own cozy electric fireplace heater, a dedicated Bluetooth speaker and seating. In the Bigloo, you’ll find a dining table and comfy seating area. The full food and drink menus are also offered with a dedicated server to take care of you. With the heater, you can expect the temperature to be around 20 degrees warmer than the outside temperature.
To reserve one of the garden igloos at Nortons Brewing Company, you must head to over to their website. For the 8-person garden igloo, a $50 non-refundable deposit is required for the reservation, and you get a 1 1/2-hour time block. The 10-person Bigloos have a $100 non-refundable rental fee and gets you a 2-hour block.
We reserved the Bigloo with friends and family and what a night it was.
There was plenty of space inside the Bigloo and easily accommodated our group and kept us warm from the 30-40 degree temps awaiting us outside.
A few more things to note if you plan to go:
- The garden igloos are for 21+
- No pets and no smoking inside.
- You should arrive 10 minutes before your reservation time. All members of your party should be present when they seat you.
- And lastly, your party is required to be on one check with an automatic 20% gratuity. Don’t forget, you have a dedicated server and chances are they are going to do a phenomenal job and if you believe so, tip a little more.
Our server, Kaiti, was literally amazing. She was fun, on top of things, and just an outstanding server.
The two hours went by incredibly quick. You know that means it was a good time…. a good time I’m paying for this morning.
This has turned into one of those annual events with friends and family. If you’re looking for holiday ideas for the adults, the garden igloos at Nortons Brewing Company…. Or even Bigloo is something to put at the top of the list.
