One of the best parts about fall and winter is back in Wichita with the return of the garden igloos at Nortons Brewing Company.
For patio experiences during the colder months, I’m not sure if there’s any better than a garden igloo, and the first to bring it to Wichita was Nortons. If you’ve never heard of them, the garden igloos are basically plastic domes that are heated inside and provide seating to protect you from the Wichita elements. Nortons has transformed their beer garden space to include multiple garden igloos that people can rent and spend some quality time with family and friends.
And this year they are literally BIGGER and better than ever.
For starters, the base size garden igloo that used to seat 6 people is now 8 people max. And new to Nortons is the Bigloo, an igloo cabin that seats 10 people!
Each igloo has its own cozy electric fireplace heater, a dedicated Bluetooth speaker and seating. In the Bigloo, you’ll find a dining table and comfy seating area. The full food and drink menus are also offered with a dedicated server to take care of you. With the heater, you can expect the temperature to be around 20 degrees warmer than the outside temperature.

For the 8-person garden igloo, a $50 non-refundable deposit is required for the reservation, and you get a 1 1/2-hour time block. The 10-person Bigloos have a $100 non-refundable rental fee and gets you a 2-hour block.
We’ve done the igloos the last two years with parties of six and really excited to give the Bigloo a try.
A few more things to note: The igloos are for 21+, no pets and no smoking inside. You should arrive 10 minutes before your reservation time. All members of your party should be present when they seat you. And lastly, your party is required to be on one check with an automatic 20% gratuity.
