Jamaica elects Kamina Johnson Smith as one of 3 VPs of 77th Session of UNGA

Jamaica: Kamina Johnson Smith- Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Jamaica, has been elected to serve as one of 3 V-Ps of the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly beginning this September. The group is of the Latin American and the Caribbean States. 

While expressing pleasure, Kamina Smith said,” I’m so happy that has been elected to serve as one of 3 V-Ps of the 77th Session of the UNGA beginning this September. Promotion of worldwide peace

As per the press launch issued by the federal government, Jamaica will probably be represented by Brian Wallace, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Jamaica to the United Nations- New York, and by Kamina Johnson Smith- Jamaica’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, throughout the High-Level Segment of the 77th Session in September 2022.
