The global wholesale insurance brokerage and underwriting firm, Burns & Wilcox, has announced the appointment of two Regional Vice Presidents (VP) in Bob Quillman and Doug Legters.
Quillman’s role is based in the Dallas/Ft. Worth office and he reports to Blaise D’Antoni, Executive Vice President, Eastern United States, Burns & Wilcox.

Quillman brings 30 years worth of industry experience to the company. In his new role, his remit will include overseeing the company’s Texas region. He will also be responsible for the collective performance of the state’s three offices – Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston and San Antonio.
Working closely with Vice President and Managing Director, Matthew Brady of Dallas/Ft. Worth and Managing Director Suzette Torres of Houston, the team will drive the company’s aggressive growth strategy across the state as it continues to expand.
Most recently, Quillman led national and regional sales teams at Kemper Insurance. He began his career at State Farm as a Commercial Lines Underwriter, where he advanced into underwriting leadership followed by a variety of corporate sales and marketing leadership roles.
D’Antoni commented on the appointment, “Well-known and respected throughout the Texas insurance community for many years, Bob provides a solid foundation of industry relationships and connections. His underwriting and team building leadership will help us continue to provide the upmost expertise and solutions to our retail brokers and agents as well as carrier partners.”
Legters brings over 25 years of experience in the industry. In his new role, he will be based out of the New Jersey and New York offices and will also report to D’Antoni. His remit includes being responsible for the collective performance of Burns & Wilcox throughout the Northeast region.
Most recently, Legters served as Senior Vice President, Strategic Partner Development at AXA XL where he oversaw all U.S. wholesale distribution. Previously he was the Managing Director and New York Division Chief at AmWins Program Underwriters. He also held numerous roles leading specialty programs and managing underwriting operations for other New York-based MGAs.
