SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD The “8th Annual Operation FlyVPS Home for the Holidays Sweepstakes” (the “Sweepstakes”) begins at 12:01 am Central Time (“CT”) on November 1, 2023, and ends at 11:59 pm CST on December 5, 2023 (the “Sweepstakes Period”).
PUBLICATIONS The following publications are participating in this Sweepstakes (the “Publication” or “Publications”): Get The Coast.
ELIGIBILITY – ENTRANT The Sweepstakes is open only to the following individuals (collectively, the “Entrant” or “Entrants”): Entrant Entering on Behalf of US Armed Forces member: (a) legal resident of the United States who resides in the 850 or 448 area code of the state of Florida; (b) eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry; and (c) entering on behalf of a legal resident of the United States who resides or is stationed in the 850 and 448 area code of the state of Florida who is an active duty military member of the US Armed Forces, US Army, US Marine Corps, US Navy, US Air Force, US Coast Guard, or US Space Force with a rank of E4 or below and who is eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry US Armed Forces member: (a) active duty military personal of the US Armed Forces, US Army, US Marine Corps, US Navy, US Air Force, US Coast Guard, or US Space Force with a rank of E4 or below; (b) legal resident of the United States who resides or is stationed in the 850 or 448 area code of the state of Florida; and (c) eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry Employees, contractors and interns of Get The Coast LLC.. (together, “GET THE COAST”) and Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport and the businesses appearing on this page (the “Sponsors”), and each of their respective divisions, affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies (including, in each case, immediate family members) are not eligible to enter the Sweepstakes. For purposes of this Sweepstakes, “immediate family members” is defined as spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents and grandchildren, whether as “in-laws”, or by current or past marriage, remarriage, adoption, cohabitation or other familial extension, and any other persons residing at the same household location, whether or not related. In order to enter the Sweepstakes or win the prize, the Entrant must comply fully with these official rules (the “Official Rules”), and by entering agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of GET THE COAST, whose decisions shall be binding and final in all respects.
ELIGIBILITY – WINNER The selected Winner must be a legal resident of the United States who (a) resides in or is stationed in the 850 and 448 area codes of the state of Florida, (b) is active duty military member of the US Armed Forces, US Army, US Marine Corps, US Navy, US Air Force, US Coast Guard, or US Space Force with a rank of E4 or below and (c) is eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of Sweepstakes entry.
HOW TO ENTER THE SWEEPSTAKES An Entrant should log on to https://www.getthecoast.com/OperationFlyVPS (the “Website”) during the Sweepstakes Period and complete the applicable registration form. Entrants must provide all requested information in the required fields as instructed. Entrants should then click “submit” to be entered in the Sweepstakes (the “Entry” or “Entries”). ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED ONLINE AND SUBMITTED BY 11:59 PM CST ON December 5, 2023 (THE “SUBMISSION DEADLINE”). NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS TIME. Entries for the Sweepstakes will not be accepted through email, via facsimile, postal mail or at the offices of any of the Publications. There is no limit to the amount of Entries that may be submitted in this Sweepstakes.
RANDOM DRAWING All Entries will be entered in an electronic random drawing (the “Drawing”) to be held on December 6, after 8:00 am, at the offices of Get The Coast. One (1) Entry will be selected in the Drawing (the “Winner”). Entrants do not need to be present at the Drawing. PRIZE PACKAGE The Winner will be awarded airfare to any location in the continental United States, not to exceed $1,500. Travel must occur between December 2023 and January 2024 and Winner and any guests of the Winner must travel to/from the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (“VPS”). The maximum retail value of the prize awarded will not exceed $1,500 (the “Prize Package”). Actual value of the trip selected may vary based on airfare fluctuations and distance between departure and destination. Winner will not receive a difference between actual and approximate retail value. Air travel is subject to restrictions stated on the informational packet that will be included with the Prize Package. Travel is subject to availability. Winner is responsible for ground transportation to/from the airport. Parking fees at VPS are not included in this Prize package. Once the Winner and the guest/s of the Winner are ticketed, an airline change fee must be paid by the Winner to change flights or dates of travel. Additional costs including, but not limited to, seat assignments, baggage fees, etc. are determined by the selected airline and will be the responsibility of the Winner. If seat assignment is required due to limited seat availability on the flight, and those fees fit within the $1,500 limit, it will be included in the Prize Package. The Winner and the guest of the Winner are solely responsible for determining and obtaining, at his/her own expense, required travel documents. Certain travel and security restrictions may apply and it is the responsibility of the Winner and the guest of the Winner to comply with all travel, security and other laws, regulations, and airline passenger rules that apply to them. GET THE COAST is not responsible for airline cancellations, delays, diversions or substitutions and no refund or compensation will be awarded in any such event. Travel may be subject to weather changes and conditions and changes outside the control of GET THE COAST. GET THE COAST is not responsible if all or any portion of the Prize Package is delayed, postponed or canceled for any reason, in which event that portion of the Prize Package is forfeited in its entirety and no substitution will be provided, except in GET THE COAST’s sole discretion. GET THE COAST is not responsible or liable in any manner if the Winner or the guest of the Winner is unable to accept or use all or any portion of the Prize Package due to failure to qualify or comply with these Official Rules or any law, regulation or other rules that apply to acceptance, receipt or use of the Prize Package. The Prize Package is not transferable.
NOTIFICATION OF THE WINNER The potential Winner will be notified by phone or email in accordance with the contact information provided. The Winner must sign an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release and provide relevant supporting documentation of eligibility in order to be eligible to accept the prize. The prize must be picked up by the Winner at the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport by 3:00 pm CST on December 30, 2023.
TAXES All local, state and federal taxes incurred by accepting a prize will be the sole responsibility of the Winner. Any person winning over $600 in prizes during any one-year period will receive an IRS Form 1099 at the end of the calendar year, and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS.
PRIZE CONDITIONS No substitution or transfer of the prize will be allowed, except at the sole discretion of GET THE COAST. GET THE COAST reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. The prize has no cash value and may not be redeemed for cash at any time. Fulfillment of the voucher is the sole responsibility of the airline, not GET THE COAST. The resale or auction of GET THE COAST prizes or tickets will result in the winner’s disqualification from all future GET THE COAST sweepstakes and contests.
ODDS OF WINNING Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries submitted during the Sweepstakes Period.
USE OF EMAIL ADDRESSES By participating in this Sweepstakes, each Entrant agrees to opt-in to receive e-mail communications from the Sponsors. If an Entrant chooses to opt out of such future communications from the Sponsors, he/she will be able to do so by following the instructions on any electronic communications sent by the Sponsors. Upon opting-out, the Sponsors will no longer send e-mail messages to the Entrant. An Entrant’s choice to opt out will not affect the Entrant’s entry or chances in the Sweepstakes.
INTERNET It is the Entrant’s responsibility to enter in the appropriate manner. Each Entrant is responsible for all costs or charges involved in accessing the Publication’s Website and warrants that the cost of accessing the site, if any, is part of a larger agreement with an Internet Service Provider or some other means, and that the cost of this access is not an incremental cost. If for any reason the internet portion of the program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of GET THE COAST which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, GET THE COAST reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Sweepstakes. Should the Sweepstakes be terminated prior to the end of the Sweepstakes Period, winners will be drawn at days-end from eligible entries received online up to the time of cancellation. GET THE COAST assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communication line failure, theft, or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. GET THE COAST is not responsible for lost, misdirected, illegible, damaged or undelivered entries. GET THE COAST is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, services or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received due to technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading of any material in this Sweepstakes. CAUTION: Any attempt by an Entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made; GET THE COAST reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. In the event of a dispute, entries made by Internet will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Automated entries are prohibited, and any use of such devices will cause disqualification. Collection and use of personally identifiable information will be in accordance with the Publication’s Privacy Policy as posted on the Website.
CONDITIONS By entering, an Entrant agree to comply with these Official Rules and the decisions of GET THE COAST, which are binding and final, and release GET THE COAST, and each of its divisions, affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and anyone associated with the production of this Sweepstakes, and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for any claims, injuries, losses or damages (including attorneys fees) of any kind arising out of their participation in this Sweepstakes or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize. The potential prize winners waive the right to assert as a cost of winning the prize any and all costs of verification and redemption or travel to redeem said prize and waives any liability or claims (including attorney’s fees) which might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem said prize. In the event of non-compliance with these Official Rules, or if prize notification is returned to GET THE COAST as undeliverable, if the prize is refused or cannot be accepted for any reason, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected in a random drawing. Upon forfeiture or refusal, no compensation will be given. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to use the winner’s name, photograph, likeness, Sweepstakes submissions and/or statements attributed to winners regarding the Sweepstakes, for advertising and publicity purposes without further compensation or consent. All entries become the property of GET THE COAST. This Sweepstakes shall only be construed and evaluated according to the laws of the state of Florida, without regard to the principles of conflicts of laws and submission of any entry constitutes acceptance of such laws. This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. This Sweepstakes is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that an Entrant is using the Sweepstakes for gambling purposes, he/she will be disqualified and reported to authorities. GET THE COAST and its affiliates reserve the right to use any and all information related to the Sweepstakes, including information on Entrants obtained through the Sweepstakes, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law. GET THE COAST reserves the right in its sole discretion to supplement or make changes to these Official Rules as well as the rules of any contest or sweepstakes at any time without notice. GET THE COAST reserves the right in its sole discretion to interpret the rules of any contest or sweepstakes, and such interpretation shall be binding upon all participants. The decisions of GET THE COAST regarding all aspects of the Sweepstakes shall be final and binding in all respects. GET THE COAST will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the Sweepstakes.
