Email Hosting

We operate e-mail hosting services on our own cloud solution, built on open source technologies (Postfix, Dovecot). The entire mail server is designed as a “high-availability” solution, i.e. a system with high availability (99.9%) and minimal possibility of any downtime. Individual services (receiving, downloading, sending mail) are functionally independent of each other and fully redundant – that is, even in the event of a failure of one of the servers, there will be no outage and all services will remain functional.

• domain trash option (messages to any address delivered to a specific mailbox)

We meet ISO 27001 certification (information security) and all GDPR conditions.

Our customer administration allows you to conveniently change service settings. Everything is fully automated – from ordering the service, invoicing, starting the service and changing parameters.

The client dministration also includes advanced features that allow you, for example, to make the administration of the mail server service available to your programmer while still having full control over the service, billing, etc.

Since you do not need the assistance of our administrators when changing settings, you can enter any change into the system yourself and it will be implemented immediately (if technically possible).

Email Migration Script

You can move your mailboxes to WEDOS in just a few clicks. You do not need to have your website or domain with us.

To migrate your mailbox, you only need to know your e-mail address, password and IMAP server (if you don’t know it, contact your provider to tell you).

1. Step – Order email hosting via the order form so we know where to migrate your e-mails.
2. Step – Creating a request for e-mail mailbox migration in customer administration for the newly ordered and established email hosting. In the details of email hosting in the left menu of the customer administration.
3. Step – Successful email migration. You will be notified by email when the migration is complete, so please wait. Migration can take tens of minutes depending on the workload.
4. Step – Final DNS change. After checking that everything is migrated and working, you can proceed to the final change of DNS servers or DNS records and the email address will start working from WEDOS.

Unlimited Mailboxes and Space Up to 160 GB

We offer a basic space of 5 GB for your e-mails, with the option of increasing it by another 155 GB! The maximum possible space for emails is therefore 160 GB. We are, however, preparing another increase up to 1 TB. Individually, we will be able to offer even more…

The email hosting service runs on state-of-the-art HPE 3 PAR StoreServ Storage 8450 all-flash storage with robust IPS/IDS and DDoS protection, custom-developed by our developers and technicians for our services. 3.7 GHz processors ensure fast operation.

Settings and Limitations of Email Services

• space for e-mails: 5 GB (can be increased to 160 GB)
• max. number of emails sent per day: 500
• max. size of sent e-mails including attachments: 100 MB
• The SMTP server cannot be used for mass sending of marketing emails (e.g. newsletters)
• e-mail services do not include: groupware, calendar, data sharing, synchronization, Instant Messaging, VoIP (We are also preparing a solution for this)

Intelligent spam filter and advanced antivirus protection

Anti-spam protection is built on the best solution that can currently be used to detect spam. It evaluates emails according to almost five hundred parameters and uses “self-learning” algorithms to refine detection. In order for these algorithms (machine learning) to work well, they need a large amount of data.

Given that we are the largest email hosting service provider in the Czech Republic, we have enough emails from which the mail server can learn. 2 to 5 million emails pass through our mail servers every day. It is precisely machine learning that enables antispam to filter junk mail and provide effective protection against it to email inboxes.

Antivirus protection detects and removes malicious software that can be spread via email, such as viruses, Trojan horses, spyware, and other types of malware. We effectively detect and block these malicious emails from reaching users’ mailboxes.

We scan links and email attachments for anything that could potentially put users at risk. If a threat is detected, the antivirus blocks the attachment or marks the e-mail as potentially dangerous and warns the user.

Brand and Credibility Enhancement

Email boxes on your own domain can be very useful and important for your business. They represent you in the same way as, for example, a website, company logo, colors or slogan.
