Our web hosting plans are ideal for end-customers that require a web site hosted with the simple features such as email hosting. Although Add-On domains are supported, it does not allow for unique cPanel accounts with their own access to be created.
Reseller Hosting is designed for you (our reseller) to create and manage your own clients hosting plans. Using our infrastructure, you can build your own web hosting plans and their features ie. amount of disk space, mailboxes, databases etc. We charge you a set monthly fee while you decide the price of your hosting package. Each of your end-customers will have the ability to login to their own cPanel for easy day to day management of their hosting account.
Our cPanel Virtual Servers are for more advanced users who want to entirely manage their own server. They include full root access and set resources. If you’re not interested in mangaging your own server, our Reseller Hosting plans are ideal. From a cost perspective, Reseller Hosting is more feature-rich as we already include a number of additional features that would otherwise require a paid-for license add-on to each cPanel VPS.
Your WHM access details are provided once you’ve selected your desired plan; this is the administrative area of your reseller account. Once you’ve configured the specifications of your web hosting plan(s) in WHM, you can easily create and assign a plan to each hosting account.
Nameservers translate a domain name into an IP address that points to the company hosting your website. Any domain name (like pizza.mu) has at least two nameservers assigned to it, e.g. ns1.cloud.mu, ns2.cloud.mu. If someone does a WHOIS lookup on a domain, they will be able to finr out where the domain name is hosted.
Seeing as building your brand is important to us, we configure your custom nameservers using your own domain name e.g. ns1.pizza.mu, ns2.pizza.mu – adding a nice touch to your overall branding ecosystem.
Web Host Manager (WHM) is the administrative access to cPanel. This allows you to manage and create all your cPanel accounts. Each cPanel account has it’s own access to login and manage just that cPanel account.
Absolutely, your Reseller Hosting plan (via WHM) includes full API integration into WHMCS, allowing you to completely automate your web hosting account deployments. Any other billing application that fully supports cPanel/WHM can also be implemented.
cPanel accounts and add-on domains are different in that cPanel, as a company, charge a fee for every active cPanel account, whereas add-on domains are simply additional sub-accounts within the same cPanel account (and use the same login). If you offer a customer an add-on account,they wouldn’t have access to their own cPanel account. WHM also isn’t included with shared web hosting and add-on account.
Your custom packages still allow the creation of unlimited add-on domains.
Absolutely – we have assisted hundreds of customers in migrating many thousands of accounts to our hosting infrastructure. If you are currently using cPanel and have WHM or cPanel access, we will assist you with the entire migration of each account exactly as they are, byte for byte.
No, transferring your domain names to us is completely optional. Transferring a domain name incurs additional costs – generally the same as an annual renewal fee – and includes a 12 month renewal upon successful transfer. Once your cPanel account has been created you would simply update your domain name to your new custom nameservers.
Yes, WHM offers all sorts of functionality to manage your customers. All you would do is create and name your packages and feature lists in WHM and then, for example, set “Plan 1” to 10GB of storage and 5 mailboxes and assign that to a specific account.
