Apple Mail Going Nuts & Making My rMBP Unusable

Hi All,

I’ve a 2015 15″ A1398 MBP with 16GB Ram working Mojave.

Apple Mail has at all times been an issue App for me – very gradual to load up & suffers common crashes – very annoying however I lived with it.

I lately wished to ship some giant information by way of e mail however as a result of e mail dimension limits, I obtained a message stating that they might be despatched by way of Mail Drop onto iCloud & will likely be obtainable for 30 days to view. I didn’t have sufficient iCloud storage so I upgraded from Apple.

Whenever I attempt to ship giant attachments in emails now, after urgent the ship icon, I get the message above & I press proceed. At that time my laptop simply goes haywire – followers rev as much as Max, temps skyrocket & the mail CPU utilization will get to 200% – the whole lot freezes, cursor doesn’t work & spinning seashore balls galore that final ages. The RAM is maxed out each few seconds prefer to 0.1% earlier than the system tries to release but it surely immediately will get eaten up once more & this cycles simply continues.

The Mail Drop course of takes ages – about 20-Half-hour & then I get a message stating that my file is simply too massive for e mail server & to attempt one other server – regardless that I chosen Mail Drop by way of iCloud.

Would actually recognize any assist/recommendation on methods to resolve as this situation is making my unit completely unusable & I’ve many information over & above the common 25mb e mail limits.

Many Thanks!
