Applications for ‘Celebrate Together’ multicultural event grants open • Glam Adelaide

The applications for Multicultural Affairs’ Celebrate Together (Round 2) Small Grants 2022 – 23 are now open.

The Celebrate Together Grants provide one-off funding to eligible multicultural organisations to host festivals and events that celebrate cultural diversity.

They assist multicultural organisations to host festivals and events to share their cultures, customs and traditions with all South Australians.

Small Grants of up to $5,000 support events held between 1 January 2023 and 30 June 2023.

Multicultural Affairs will accept one application for the Celebrate Together Grants, per organisation per year.

Key multicultural service providers, who have a direct responsibility working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, can apply up to two times per round as a lead agency in partnership with one or more multicultural community organisations.

The Celebrate Together Grants invest in multicultural organisations to achieve one or more of the following outcomes:

  • Increase understanding of the culturally diverse community in which we live
  • Build a visible profile to highlight the unique cultural brand of South Australia
  • Support new and emerging communities to increase their skills and experience through delivering events
  • foster partnerships (financial or non-financial) between culturally diverse communities and other sectors through shared hosting of festivals and events

Applications for Small Grants (Round 2) are now open and close 30 September 2022 at 11pm. They follow Round 1 of applications for Large Grants and Small Grants that are now closed.

Minister for Multicultural Affairs, Zoe Bettison says “Festivals and events celebrate our state’s cultural diversity and showcase who we are as South Australians while they play a vital role in bringing people of all ages together.

“They are also a great way for multicultural communities to share their cultures, customs and traditions with all South Australians.

“If you are an eligible multicultural organisation, I encourage you to apply.

“We look forward to supporting you and working with you to celebrate our proud, multicultural State.”
