Managed service supplier (MSP) mcrIT has undertaken a modernisation mission with not-for revenue (NFP) rehab clinic Odyssey House, upgrading its servers, community, desktop, intranet and telephony.

Earmarked because the ‘One Odyssey’ strategy, it kicked off in 2018 and has since seen mcrIT enhance operations throughout Odyssey House’s six websites in Australia together with two residential rehabilitation centres with medical amenities and employees who rely on the flexibility to securely entry affected person knowledge..

One explicit overarching enterprise objective was to unite these two disparate Odyssey House organisations. Given the crucial rehabilitation, therapy and schooling providers Odyssey House supplies, discovering a dependable and educated companion of NFP compliance tips and safety was integral.

This mission included the procurement of refurbished laptops and desktops from one other NFP, WorkVentures. A complete refresh of the community was carried out, leveraging 4G backup for distant places with unstable Internet providers, which offered further flexibility for employees.

Users have been migrated to Microsoft 365 to take away the only level of failure of their ageing onsite electronic mail server and carried out multi-factor authentication and single sign-on to enhance safety posture. The remaining servers have been migrated to Azure, eradicating aged tools and decreasing the reliance on distant places for key functions.
