Amazon Web Services is reshuffling executives within the wake of longtime cloud executive Charlie Bell’s departure, in response to an inner email considered by Insider.
Amazon’s new cloud CEO Adam Selipsky notified AWS VPs on Monday afternoon about Bell’s plans to depart the company after 23 years. Bell’s departure is the latest in an “exodus” of VPs at Amazon, and comes throughout the company’s most important management shift as former AWS CEO Andy Jassy replaces founding CEO Jeff Bezos as the pinnacle of Amazon total.

Selipsky’s email reveals that AWS gross sales chief Matt Garman, its de-facto chief working officer, will now oversee AWS help vp Justin Brindley-Koonce, AWS managed companies vp John Brigden, and AWS director Ryan Mackle.
It additionally says that longtime AWS executive Peter DeSantis, who’s a member of Amazon’s total “S-team” management workforce, is taking up utility computing whereas Prasad Kalyanaraman will lead Infrastructure and Network Services, the email states. Both executives will report on to Selipsky.
DeSantis’ new experiences will embrace Annapurna Labs founder Bilic Hrvoye, AWS Elemental common supervisor Alex Dunlap, vp of productiveness functions Peter Hill, AWS Enterprise Applications common supervisor Stephen Johnson, Amazon Honeycode director Meera Vaidyanathan, and Amazon Honeycode head of engineering Liang Chen.
