Southwest adds Miami flights and extends other Florida routes at MKE

The addition of flights to Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport continues as Southwest Airlines adds new seasonal nonstop flights to Miami International Airport (MIA).

The Saturday flights begin June 12 and run via Sept. 4.

Southwest can also be extending these routes:

Existing Saturday service to Sarasota/Bradenton (SRQ) is prolonged via the tip of October and the roundtrip route will add Sundays via Sept. 5.

Existing each day service to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) shall be prolonged via Sept. 6, with two roundtrips each Saturday via Oct. 30.

The recently-announced Destin-Fort Walton Beach (VPS) service is being prolonged, with roundtrips each Saturday June 12-Sept. 4.

The flights be part of Americans not too long ago restarted nonstop service to Miami, in addition to new routes from Jet Blue, Spirit and Sun Country.

“Southwest’s continued growth from Milwaukee to Florida, together with these new flights to Miami, gives extra flights to extra leisure locations than ever earlier than,” stated Airport Director Brian Dranzik in a press release Monday.

“We are persevering with to win this new service as a result of Wisconsin vacationers are selecting our hometown airport. The extra we proceed to try this, the extra service we’ll get because the air journey business emerges from the pandemic.”

Southwest now serves seven Florida cities nonstop from Milwaukee and tickets can be found at southwest.com.
